Halloween Festivities!

Our first Halloween activity was getting pumpkins to carve.
This sign
was at a church where we bought our pumpkins. People think Mormons are weird, go figure.

Lila didn't know what to think about the pumpkins but I think she liked the wagon we used to haul them around in.

 These are our creations.
We also watched 'Tim Burton's, The Nightmare Before Christmas', it's a family tradition.

Chris' mom gave us this singing/dancing Frankenstein and Lila has a love/hate relationship with him. She always pushes him over when he's singing/dancing then she laughs and dances to the music.

Isn't she the cutest witch ever?!
Chris and I didn't dress up this year but I think we will from now on. It just makes it more fun.

I made these candy men for the kids in my Sunday school class.

Lila's first Halloween was a hit!
Hope yours was too:)

Nana and Grandpa Johnson Visit

They just had to come see Lila and how much she's grown. So they packed up the car and made the drive from Utah. Gifts were involved of course.
Lila playing with her new Cabbage Patch Kid.
Lila loves these toy beads! She chews on them and is always carrying as she moves around the room.
Chris and I were able to go to the Temple together while Nana and Grandpa watched Lila and toured the Mormon Trail Center.

We also went to

Where Brigham Young was sustained as the 2nd prophet and president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

It has been great living close to and visiting these church history sights. They are a constant reminder of how much the pioneers sacrificed to bring forth the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm so grateful for their example of faith and diligence.

Lowell and Sharon left us for a few days and visited some more sights. They originally intended to go to Adam-Ondi-Ahmen then onto Independence, MO. Instead, they headed to Nauvoo, IL after Adam-Ondi-Ahmen. They were able to go to the Nauvoo Temple while they were there and ran into some old friends from California. It really is a small world.
They came back and stayed with us for one more day then headed back home.

Thanks for coming:) We loved having you here!
