Our Wedding Day

Ginny and I were sealed March 7th, 2009 in the Orlando, FL temple. It was an exciting trip for the Johnson side of the family because none of them had ever been to Florida before. In fact, most hadn't been any further east than Utah. While the Johnsons travelled, the Pope family worked tirelessly to get Jeremy and Laura's yard ready and finish up some last minute details.

We had a very nice dinner the night before the wedding at Buca di Beppo. It gave both sides of the family a chance to meet each other for the first time. Also in attendance were Josh and Chandra Edlow, their baby Piper, and Prince David of Sacramento. We went around the table and everyone had the opportunity to stand up and say something about us. The remarks ranged from funny, to touching, to awkward, but overall really nice.

On to the wedding day. Ginny and I were fortunate to have so many close friends and family with us. Ginny's friends Ashley, Nancy, Kathy, and Kim flew out for the occasion. After the sealing we met outside and took pictures. Here are a few samples.

I'm not gonna lie. We look good...

A shot of all in attendance.

The girls...

My sister Katie and my favorite niece, Kiley.

Ginny's mom and dad, Netta and Robin.

My folks, Lowell and Sharon Johnson.

Very nice.

Ginny's Fam.

I once ate a baby!... No, but really. Josh apparently ate too many paninis and had quite the case of diarrhea on the plane ride home.

The Johnsons that were able to make it.

Ginny's cousins.

Crazy kids.

Ginny's friends Maria and Tess and families.

On our way out. It really was a perfect day.

Our First Post!

So here it is! Exciting! Ginny and I thought it would be a good idea to begin documenting our life together. Hopefully this will not only be a valuable record of our experiences together but also a nice way for family and friends to keep in touch and up to speed.
